Polar Plunge Event Day Information:
- THE PLUNGE TAKES PLACE from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.If you are doing the plunge only, please arrive after 10:45 am to avoid the 5k race
- The plunge will be run in waves of 3-5 people at a time
- Only registered participants will be allowed to plunge
- You MUST check in at the entrance to the plunge chute to receive your wristband. After checking you will wait in line in the plunge chute until it is your turn.
- No wristband = No Plunge
- Enter the chute with the group/people you want to plunge with
- The Larimer County Dive Rescue Team will be in the water & on the shore to ensure your safety and to dish out some sweet high-5s.
- Do not go past the Dive Rescue Team in the water
- Costumes are welcome!
- You can wear your warm clothes/blanket in the chute while you wait your turn & take off just before you plunge. There will be a table to set your items on.
- You must wear shoes for the plunge! Wear shoes that will stay on your feet for the plunge (no flip flops), & make sure you have dry socks/shoes for after. There are rocks under the water and we want to make sure your feet are protected.
- Keep warm by bringing a towel, blanket, or bath robe and lots of warm clothes.
- Changing tents will be available for before/after the plunge.
- No alcohol may be consumed BEFORE the plunge
